Easter Egg Run Sunday 8th of April 2012

A fine, fresh Easter Sunday saw 7 Classics, 1 Buggy, a new MINI Clubman and a well know Clan family (with both Minis off the road) in their Ford Focus.
We gathered at Abington Services and celebrated Easter and John Nichol's birthday with some of Mary Love’s wonderful cakes.

Thanks Mary that’s me put on a few pounds, but they were great! After we were led off by Moira and Rab, a couple of cars developed problems, but they were both fixed by the famous Doctor Love.
We travelled on some fantastic B roads through Moffat, stopping for some famous Toffees.
We also stopped for a comfort break at the Kagyu Samye Ling Tibetan Centre and we enjoyed a tour around the centre. From there on to St. Mary’s Loch where we stopped for Lunch at the Glen Cafe.
We then returned back to Abington services through Broughton and Biggar on some really great roads and scenery of The Bonnie Borders, seeing a very strange crop circle.
The CB’s have a lot to answer for, the banter was boundless as always!

At Abington we said our fond farewells until the Next Clan Event.

Thistle Run 2018 Entry is now open!

This year the Thistle Run takes place on 27th May 2018 and sees a return to the Newtongrange to Eyemouth route. As always we will support two charities, namely Eyemouth RNLI (rnli.org) and SANDS (www.sands.org).

Please click the link below to complete the entry form and pay the entry fee by PayPal. The entry fee for this event is £20. As always The MiniClan will try to minimise organisation costs through sponsorship and donations, to ensure that the maximum amount possible goes to the Charities. Entrants will also have the opportunity to raise money through the sponsor forms included in the run packs.

We look forward to seeing you for another great Thistle Run!
