This was one of the funniest runs the Clan has when we last tried to get to East Fortune Air Museum; we all went wrong at the first roundabout and Minis headed off in three different directions!

This year we are promising to be more on the ball and get it right first time, and whilst the run is great route the museum is a fantastic end point.

The East Fortune site itself is steeped in history. In 1919 the R34 Airship took off from East Fortune to make the first east-west transatlantic flight. Now, Hangar 4 is home to Concorde G-BOAA, the first of the British Airways Concorde fleet to fly commercially. Visit the Concorde Experience and follow the amazing story of supersonic passenger flight.

Image The other hangars display a rich collection of civil and military aircraft. Come and discover some of the most extraordinary machines in the world. Explore the story of our ambition to take to the skies and find out how flight has changed our world.

So we will see you at Deer Park Beefeater, just off Junction 3 on the M8, for a 11am departure.
