The Scottie Dog of Fife
Twenty intrepid Mini Clanners met the Shadows of the Wallace monument in Stirling with heavy clouds above their heads.

Earlier at a mini, mini convoy meet at Asda in Glasgow there were some last minute problems with David’s car which was not quite literally “not firing on all cylinders” The decision was made for David to return home and catch up with us in his pug.

ImageWith the threat of rain turning to reality we headed out of Stirling. As the original planner of the run was not in attendance this really was going to be a mini adventure. Early into the run we were split up and luckily there was a perfect regroup at the Mill Trail Visitor centre in Alva where a re-group, toilet and scone break was taken.

Joyful looks where seen on passers and villagers and as we passed through some beautiful villages and Perthshire scenery. Belly’s were starting to rumble and we stopped at the Bein Inn, who were not too pleased to see us (due to our numbers) and we decided to move on.

ImageA quick stop then took place (much to the delight of the owners) at Minimart in Gateside. There were not many mini’s for sale the day we arrived but there was a beautiful baby blue mark one rusting in peace in the corner.

Due to increasing hunger in the Clanners we headed straight for Anstruther and the Anstruther Fish Bar and some of the tastiest fish in Scotland. The sun shone briefing on the Clanners as they parked by the pier. Various suppers were consumed taking in the view of the sea and even a real Scottie dog of fife was seen.

A mini adventure not to be forgotten.
