After the perils of the wobbly bridge, our Runners still had to get their tyres wet, with a crossing by ford of the Whiteadder Water! The ford was a little deep, and gave some Minis the opportunity to make a rather big splash! It was also somewhat slippery, especially for the marshals guiding runners across (lucky some had brought a change of clothing!).
Mini's making a splash

They did a great job getting every Mini through the turbulent waters, and only had to push one out! Once again Bob the AA Man got them going in no time at all, and then it was a dash to Eyemouth for the grand entrance into the town.

Once again, the Eyemouth Pipe Band came out to lead us on our cavalcade and get us all a bit of attention from the locals! It is fair to say that it worked, and the streets were full of people witnessing a colourful once in every four year event! The parade meandered through the town to our final spectacular end point at the harbour front for the show’n’shine, presentation of awards and some very welcome fish’n’chips! The harbour was mobbed by the 350-plus Thistle Runners and a host of visitors joining in the fun.
